Dr. Matthew Tripp Joins Nature’s Sunshine Products
as Chief Scientific Officer
Nature’s Sunshine Products is pleased to announce that Matthew Tripp, Ph.D., has joined our staff as Chief Scientific Officer.
“I am thrilled to have someone of Dr. Tripp’s qualifications and reputation in the industry become part of the NSP leadership team,” said Greg Probert, NSP interim CEO and Chairman of the Board. “The addition of Matt to our corporate team demonstrates yet again that NSP is fully committed to excellence and innovation. We will continue to invest in our personnel and our brand in order to lead the industry in providing quality, transformational health products.”
Tripp served as Vice President of Research and Development at Metagenics. There he managed the discovery, development, safety and clinical validation of medical foods and nutraceuticals. He also worked to help create over 100 patents and patent applications. Prior to that, Tripp worked in R&D at several Fortune 500 companies. He earned a Ph.D. from Washington State University in Physiology/Microbial Genetics/Microbiology. Tripp received his master’s degree in Microbial Physiology/Bacterial Genetics and a B.S. in Biology both from Western Michigan University.
Tripp will work closely with Dr. William Keller, Vice President and Chief Science Resource Officer; Lynda Hammons, Vice President, Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs; and Trent McCausland, Director, Engineering and Project Management at our Spanish Fork manufacturing facility.
